Product Description
The Stash Tea Company is headquartered in Portland, Oregon. Founded in 1972, the company derives its name from an entertaining aspect of tea folklore. In earlier centuries, tea was a valuable commodity traditionally transported by clipper ship. The ship's captain often was presented with some of the finest teas for his personal use. This supply was his "stash", stowed carefully as his "private reserve." Today, the term still is used to denote anything put away carefully because of its preciousness. While drinking Stash Decaf Pumpkin Spice Black Tea savor the comfort this richly spiced tea brings to the holidays. Created especially for the holidays, this unique tea imparts the appeal of a tasty pumpkin pie. A delicious blend of naturally decaffeinated black teas and natural pumpkin spice flavor with nutmeg, cinnamon, ginger and clove, this tea is comfort in a cup. Enjoy on crisp days and cool nights, or as the perfect fireside companion. For its decaffeinated teas, Stash uses an advanced completely natural European process. This process removes 99.5 percent of the caffeine, leaving the tea leaves with all the flavor, color and aroma you expect from Stash premium teas. Stash Tea has been committed to providing premium quality teas and an unsurpassed tea drinking experience. Stash begins with simply excellent tea leaves from the world's premier tea gardens and all natural botanical ingredients gathered from around the world. Meticulous blending and tasting of every tea ensures you will enjoy full flavor in every cup.

It contains naturally decaffeinated black tea, nutmeg, cinnamon, ginger, natural, pumpkin spice flavor, and clove. Note that it does not contain any actual pumpkin ( Bigelow Pumpkin Spice Tea, 1.64-Ounce Boxes (Pack of 6) does contain pumpkin flakes, and I prefer Bigelow's version to Stash's as I find it has a smoother flavor). I have tried this tea (Stash) brewed both hot and cold, and I must say that I prefer it as an icred tea. The overwhelming flavor is nutmeg and clove. It is a pleasant tea, but it doesn't particularly remind me of pumpkin pie. I find the spicy flavor to be a bit astringent. The tea smells of cinnamon, but I don't taste much of it. It has a very yummy flavor. I would recommend Bigelow's version over this one, but it is still a very pleasant tea and can be... It reminds me of Fall and the Halloween parties of the past-- sometimes I add a bit of apple cider to it for sweetness but it really makes a wonderful ICE TEA. Sometimes I add a bag of their VANILLA NUT CREME to give it a smooth creamy flavor. I have fallen in love with about 6 of their teas and would highly recomment them to ICE TEA drinkers like I myself. I recieved a box that had 6 boxes of 18 bags each-- for the price I would recommend buying them this way because in the store I paid $3.25 per box and this way you only pay $1.89 per 18 count box-- they make nice gifts too for your tea lover friends. |
