I love the smell of pumpkin spice and have a really hard time finding just the scent itself (as opposed to candles). When I open up the bottle, the chemically scent is really strong. I've used it a few times hoping I might get used to it. When I use it the little bit of spicy scent goes away quickly and I'm left with a grossly sweet, fake perfume smell. So with a prior rating of one 1 star and then a 5 star I figured I had a 50/50 chance of it being good or bad.The verdict: It's bad. When you open the bottle and smell it, it has a decent smell and you think "yes, the 5 star rating was right!" But once you use it/put it on an oil warmer the pumpkin spice smell evaporates within seconds and then you're left with what smells like horrible chemicals and then you think "ok, the 1 star rating was right"... I'd rather inhale bleach, whiteout, or a permanent pen, all of which would smell better. I had to open up my house and turn on all my fans to try to get the horrible sent out. I really wanted to find the neighborhood skunk and persuade it to come in my home and to spray everywhere to make my house smell better again, but alas not even the skunk wanted to come in... I chose this rating because I had been looking for a frangrance oil that produced a fragrance that smelled liked a baking pumpkin pie. Though the Pumpkin Spice Fragrance is a nice fragrance for autmun, I just didn't get the scent of a baking pumpkin pie as I had hoped for. |
